Baldness & Hair Loss

Causes

Alopecia is a medical condition that causes you to lose hair in patches on the scalp and anywhere else on the body.

Common causes in balding (androgenetic alopecia) that occur in men and women are due to the effect of testosterone metabolites, in genetically susceptible hair follicles. Thyroid disease, anaemia, protein deficiency, secondary syphilis, chemotherapy, and low vitamin levels may also cause hair loss.

Our Recommended Treatments

PRP Therapy

  • Targets: Ageing Skin, dull skin, sagging skin, acne scars, pigmentation, wrinkles
  • Treatment: PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. Your blood is drawn- typically from your arm -and put into a centrifuge (a machine that spins rapidly to separate fluids of different densities). The platelet-rich plasma is drawn up into a syringe and then injected into areas of the scalp that need increased hair growth. PRP injections trigger natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. Sometimes this approach is combined with other hair loss procedures or medications
  • Method: Injection
  • Downtime: Lunchtime procedure
  • Frequency: First 3 sessions monthly then maintenance once every 3-6 months (depending on the patient)

BIOFIBRE Hair Implant System

  • Targets: Baldness or alopecia
  • Treatment: BIOFIBRE is a safe, simple, and light aesthetic procedure involving a special implanter and Biofibre prosthetic hair – which is aesthetically identical to natural hair – which is inserted into the scalp with minimal discomfort until the desired hair density is obtained
  • Method: Hair implant
  • Downtime: 3 days
  • Frequency: 1-2 sessions

Hair Mesotherapy

  • Targets: Hair thinning, hair loss (including androgenic alopecia), and scalp health
  • Treatment: Hair Mesotherapy is a non-surgical treatment that involves injecting a mixture of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and growth factors directly into the scalp. The purpose is to stimulate hair follicles, improve scalp circulation, and promote healthy hair growth. This treatment nourishes the hair follicles with essential nutrients, improving hair density and overall quality. Hair Mesotherapy is ideal for those experiencing early signs of hair thinning or hair loss and can be used as a standalone treatment or in combination with other hair restoration procedures.
  • Method: Injections of a nutrient-rich cocktail into the scalp to stimulate hair growth and nourish hair follicles
  • Downtime: Minimal; slight redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection sites, typically subsiding within a few hours to a day
  • Frequency: 4-6 sessions, spaced 2-4 weeks apart, for optimal results

Hair Microneedling

  • Targets: Hair thinning, hair loss (including androgenic alopecia), and scalp health
  • Treatment: Hair Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that uses tiny needles to create micro-channels in the scalp, which stimulates collagen production and enhances the absorption of a customized cocktail of hair vitamins, biotin, and/or exosomes. This combination works to nourish and rejuvenate hair follicles, improve scalp circulation, and encourage hair growth. Biotin and hair vitamins help strengthen hair and support follicle function, while exosomes promote healing and tissue regeneration, boosting the effectiveness of the treatment. This is an ideal option for those struggling with hair thinning, hair loss, or wanting to improve hair density and health.
  • Method: Microneedling with a blend of hair vitamins, biotin, and/or exosomes injected into the scalp for enhanced hair growth and follicle stimulation
  • Downtime: Minimal; slight redness, tenderness, or swelling may occur at the treatment site, typically resolving within a few hours to a day
  • Frequency: 4-6 sessions, spaced 3-4 weeks apart, for optimal results

Plinest Hair

  • Targets: Hair thinning, hair loss, scalp health, and overall hair rejuvenation
  • Treatment: Plinest Hair is an advanced injectable treatment designed to combat hair thinning and promote hair regrowth. This treatment combines a unique formula of polynucleotides, which are bioactive molecules that help repair and regenerate tissues, with essential nutrients to revitalize hair follicles. Plinest Hair stimulates collagen production, improves scalp circulation, and nourishes the hair roots, resulting in stronger, healthier, and thicker hair. It is ideal for those experiencing hair thinning or early-stage hair loss, improving both the texture and volume of the hair.
  • Method: Injectable polynucleotides combined with nourishing nutrients for hair follicle regeneration and scalp health
  • Downtime: Minimal; mild redness or swelling may occur at the injection sites, typically resolving within a few hours to a day
  • Frequency: 2-3 sessions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, for optimal results
